AdventHealth Earth Day Recycle Run 5 Miler, 2 Miler, & 7 Miler

A celebration of Earth Day and the beauty that surrounds Clermont and Lake Minneola

After 41 years and hundreds of races, Sommer Sports has accumulated a mountain of leftover medals, shirts, and awards. In celebration of Earth Day, we decided to recycle some of this swag by transforming our Earth Day Run into Sommer Sports Recycle Run. To help you recycle some cash, we've also reduced the entry fees for the event! Recycle Run participants will now be able to select their race shirt from more than a dozen different events, and their race medal from dozens more. 2 and 5 Mile Runners will receive 2 shirts and 2 medals while 7 Mile Challenge participants will be able to select four shirts and four medals. Recycled awards from previous races will be awarded for both the 2 Mile and 5 Mile events. After the race you can enjoy the great post race party you expect from Sommer Sports Events.

2 Miler - 7:15AM; 5 Miler - 7:45AM

Victory Point- 938 Victory Way, Clermont FL 34711

Courses:

Both the 5 Mile and 2 Mile courses are out-and-back courses on the South Lake Trail. 

7 Mile Challenge: Run both the 2 Mile Run (7:15 AM) and the 5 Mile Run (7:45 AM) and receive a cool third bonus medal.  Please note you must sign up for both the 2 Mile and 5 Mile runs at the same time via the Seven Mile Challenge Bundle to be eligible for the extra swag. Please note that the Seven Mile Challenge bundle includes four medals and four event shirts.  Note the start time of both races to make sure you can complete the 2-mile run before the start of the 5-mile at 7:45 AM.

Amenities:

This is a Recycle Run so participants will select their shirts and medals from previous Sommer Sports Events. Athletes can expect an accurately measured and well monitored course, chip timing with awards (leftover from previous events) three deep in five year age groups, great food, music  & more. 

Awards:

5 Miler & 2 Miler - Top three overall, top masters, and the top three in each division, male and female. 

Volunteers:

Be part of all the excitement at one of Sommer Sport's events. Whether you have just a couple of hours to spare, or the entire day, your help will make a difference.
