Athletes must complete a minimum of four (4) events to be eligible for end of year prizes. All events count towards final points standings. The more events you race, the more points you can earn. Points will only be awarded in the following event categories: Triathlon, Aquabike, Aquathlon, and Duathlon. Points earned in a respective category stay in that category. For triathlons, there will be no special divisions like Clydesdale, Athena, etc. All athletes will be ranked as age group participants.
Points are awarded based on time with the winner earning the maximum number of points available based on the event distance. Subsequent finishers will earn fewer points based on their finish time relative to the winning time. Points are awarded equally to men & women. All event categories of a specific distance will have the same maximum points available, i.e. Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathlon, and Aquabike. No points will be awarded to Relay Teams, Open Water Swimmers, and time trial cyclists.
The end of year awards ceremony will take place at the Great Floridian Triathlon. Awards will be presented as follows:
Triathlons: Top three overall, top masters, and top three in each five year age group, Male & Female.
Duathlons: Top 10 overall, Male & Female.
Aquabike: Top 10 overall, Male & Female
Aquathlon: Top 5 overall, Male & Female
