A spooktacular nighttime 5K run/walk featuring several interactive spook zones along the course. Costumes are encouraged with cash and merchandise prizes being awarded to the best several categories!

Course & Distance:
5K - A flat course with a one mile loop at the start followed by an out and back segment on the South Lake Trail. Due to damage caused by Hurricane Milton and subsequent flooding of Hiawatha Preserve and a section of the South Lake Trail, this year's course has been redesigned. Course Map Course Map PDF
Amenities:
A spooktacular glow-in-the-dark finisher medal, awesome tech shirt, accurately measured and well monitored course, chip timing with awards in each 5 year age group, six interactive spook zones, snacks, & more. Registering by October 20th ensures proper t-shirt size.
Costume Prizes:
$100 cash to the scariest, crowd favorite, and best costumed group. Merchandise awards will be presented in many other costume categories!
Virtual Option:
All Sommer Sports live running events also offer a virtual option. If you cannot make the run in person, sign-up to run virtually and you'll receive a race bib, shirt, and medal just like the race day participants. Just complete the event distance one week prior to, or withing one week following the actual race date and upload your results online.
Awards:
5K - Top three overall, top masters, and the top three in each five year age division, male and female.

Be part of all the excitement at one of Sommer Sport's events. Whether you have just a couple of hours to spare, or the entire day, your help will make a difference.
